There was an unmistakable buzz of excitement as SuRi cruised into the Gold Coast City Marina and Shipyard, ready to showcase her stunning new refit and share her South Pacific adventure expeditions at the third annual Australian Superyacht Rendezvous from May 17-18, 2019.

The 2019 Australian Superyacht Rendezvous featured some of the most extraordinary superyachts ever seen in the country, with over AUD $200 million worth of luxury yachts on display. Many were eagerly awaiting SuRi’s arrival to Australian waters after it was announced that the world-renowned vessel would be joining this year’s line-up.

At a grand 63 metres, SuRi cut an impressive figure amongst the other yachts on display. As one of the largest superyachts in the event, SuRi dazzled attendees with her innovative refit, refined craftsmanship, and her larger-than-life amenities.

While SuRi may not have had the most beautiful exterior in show, it was the beauty and marvel within that really excited those who beheld her.

SuRi delighted attendees as they viewed her elegant interiors, plush finishes, spacious accommodations, and array of luxurious amenities, including a massage room, on-deck jacuzzi, and fully equipped gym.

But, it was SuRi’s huge hangar and her never-ending list of toys and tenders that really stole the show – boasting a helicopter, seaplane, 35-ft classic StanCraft speedboat, vintage sailboat, ATV, jetskis, amphibious watercrafts, dive equipment, and much more on-board for guests to enjoy.

Many attendees fell in love with SuRi’s go-anywhere, do-anything spirit – after all, she was built for exploration, enabling her guests to adventure by sea, land and sky.

Throughout the event, SuRi also promoted her expeditions in the South Pacific, highlighting the wonders of the remarkable region. With a passion for exploring off the beaten track, SuRi’s team are dedicated to offering adventurous cruisers the chance to experience the South Pacific like never before – all while enjoying the utmost luxury and comfort on board.

This year’s annual superyacht gathering saw its biggest ever line-up of yachts for charter or sale. Joining SuRi were Aurora, Atao, Beluga, Corroboree, Emerald Lady, Ghost II, Karanita, Lady Pamela, Masteka 2, Patriot 1, Silentworld, Sophia, and Little Blue, among others.

Although superyachts may be a niche market, they are worth around AUD $2 billion per year to the Australian economy, according to a report from Superyacht Australia, and are burgeoning in popularity in the country’s luxury tourism industry.
